We are recruiting a full-time physician assistant (PA) at the faculty rank of Teaching Associate to join our spine surgery service at the University of Washington Medical Center – Northwest Hospital and Montlake Campuses. The successful candidate is expected to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team and have effective interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise. Our physician assistants are responsible for providing comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients in the surgical, inpatient and outpatient settings. Teaching associates hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. This position has a flexible start date in the spring or summer of 2026.

Salary:
The base salary range for this position will be: $10,000 - $14,850 per month ($120,000-178,200 annually) commensurate with qualifications and years of experience as a physician assistant, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations.

Qualifications
1. Current and valid Washington State Physician Assistant License.

2. Graduate Degree from an accredited PA program. Nationally certified PA-C with DEA.

3. Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment.
