Orthopedic Medical Scribe

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our team. The Medical Scribe will work closely with healthcare providers to accurately document patient interactions and medical histories in real-time.

The Scribe will assists the provider with the completion of his/her dictations to improve the efficiency and quality of each patient visit and the overall clinic flow.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, general education degree (GED) or certificate from college or technical school.
  • 3 to 6 month related experience.
  • Ability to type 45 WPM, basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook/Office.
  • Provides excellent customer service to patients by listening and appropriately serving patients.
  • Relays relevant information to the appropriate internal staff.
  • Assists the provider in navigating Electronic Health Record system.
  • Enters information into EHR as directed by the provider.
  • Researches information as requested by the provider.
  • Responds to various messages as requested by the provider.
  • Assists the physicians/physician assistant with documenting patient care in the electronic medical record and insuring that all services ordered are coded in the electronic medical record.
  • Participates in office meetings and educational activities.
  • Complies with HIPAA procedures.
  • Maintains work area in neat and orderly manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

- Transcribe medical notes and patient interactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed and organized medical documentation for each patient visit.
- Ensure all medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge is applied correctly.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care and workflow efficiency.

  • Some Travel is expected

Skills:

- Proficient in transcribing medical information in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Ability to type quickly and accurately.
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and electronic health records systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Previous experience in a medical scribe role or related field is a plus.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
