Orthopedic Medical Scribe

Job Overview

Full Circle Orthopedics is hiring a Medical Scribe to work closely with our orthopedic provider and keep documentation accurate, organized, and complete. We are a patient centered, close knit practice serving Clearwater and Palm Harbor, focused on excellent outcomes, patient satisfaction, and patient education.

This role is ideal for someone who types quickly, stays calm in a fast paced clinic, and takes pride in clean charting. Ortho terminology and eClinicalWorks experience are a plus, and bilingual (Spanish) is preferred. Schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Pay is based on experience and bilingual ability.

Full Circle Orthopedics is an orthopedic surgery practice serving Clearwater and Palm Harbor. Our team focuses on excellent clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, cost effectiveness, and patient education.

Dr. Robert Donnelly is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with Mayo Clinic residency training. Our practice treats a wide range of orthopedic problems including spine, knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, and hand conditions, along with acute injuries and fractures.

WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR

• You enjoy fast paced clinical work and like being trusted to keep documentation accurate and complete.
• You type quickly, learn systems fast, and take pride in clean, well organized charts.
• You communicate calmly and professionally with providers and staff, even when the clinic is busy.
• Bonus if you are bilingual (Spanish) and comfortable with orthopedic terminology.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Accurately document patient visits, including history, physical exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• Support the provider by charting in the electronic medical record (eClinicalWorks preferred).
• Organize and manage medical documentation for efficiency and accuracy.
• Communicate with the provider and team to keep the clinic flowing smoothly.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.

SCHEDULE

• Set schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (24 hours per week).
• Work location: Clearwater and Palm Harbor

PAY AND BENEFITS

• Pay is based on experience and bilingual ability.

TRAINING AND SUPPORT

• Training provided with the current acting scribe so you can get up to speed quickly.
• Direct work with a single physician in a close knit, patient centered, family environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• One year of medical scribe experience is preferred, but we may train the right person.
• Strong computer skills and strong typing speed and accuracy are required.
• Experience with EMR systems is preferred (eClinicalWorks a plus). Knowledge of medical terminology, especially orthopedics, is a strong plus.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast paced environment.
