About Nauru Medical Centre:
Nauru Medical Centre is the primary government hospital in the Republic of Nauru, delivering essential and specialized healthcare services to the community. As part of its ongoing medical development program, the hospital invites qualified Visiting Specialists to provide expert services and training to the local medical team.

Role Overview:
The Visiting Orthopedic Surgeon will provide clinical consultations and perform surgical procedures for patients with orthopedic conditions, while supporting local healthcare professionals through skill transfer and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct orthopedic outpatient clinics and ward rounds.
• Perform surgical procedures, including trauma and joint surgeries.
• Provide clinical guidance and training to resident doctors and nurses.
• Assist in developing orthopedic protocols and standards of care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary discussions for patient management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Recognized medical degree and specialist qualification in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Minimum of 5 years’ post-specialization experience.
• Valid professional registration and medical license.
• Previous international or visiting assignment experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and adaptability in multicultural environments.
