We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon to join our established Department of Orthopedics. The successful candidate will provide expert surgical and non-surgical management for a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions, contributing to the Center's reputation for clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Diagnose, evaluate, and treat all types of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, including trauma, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, tumors, and congenital disorders.
- Surgical Procedures: Perform a variety of orthopedic surgeries, which may include joint replacement (arthroplasty), arthroscopic procedures, trauma surgery, spine surgery (if specialized), and pediatric orthopedics (if specialized).
- Patient Management: Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, manage post-operative care, and oversee rehabilitation plans.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including radiologists, and general practitioners, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Quality & Safety: Adhere strictly to the highest standards of medical ethics, hospital policies, and Qatar's Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) regulations.
- Education: Participate in continuous professional development, clinical audits, and medical education activities.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Education: MD, MBBS, or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Specialization: Completion of a recognized residency program in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Board Certification: Recognized Specialist certification
- Licensure: Must possess a valid medical license from the country of origin and be eligible for registration/licensure by the Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP).
- Experience:
- Consultant Level: Minimum of 5 years of post-board certification experience.
- Specialist Level: Minimum of 3 years of post-board certification experience.
- Regional Experience: A minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is highly preferred. This demonstrates familiarity with regional patient demographics, healthcare systems, and common pathologies.
- Language: Fluency in verbal and written English is mandatory. Proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
