Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in Chennai for an OT (Operation Theatre) Technician. The OT Technician will assist in preparing the operation theater, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring adherence to high hygiene and safety standards. Key responsibilities include assisting surgeons and nurses during medical procedures, maintaining logs and records of surgical instruments, and ensuring proper disposal of biomedical waste. The OT Technician will support an efficient workflow in the theater by ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are available during operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and skills in sterilizing and maintaining surgical equipment and adherence to infection control protocols.
• Experience in providing support during surgical procedures, including handling instruments and assisting surgeons and nursing staff.
• Competence in maintaining accurate logs and records and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Certification or diploma in Operation Theatre Technology or a related field is required. Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous.
