OTR Box Truck Driver

Duties

• Safely operate a box truck for over-the-road deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to meet schedule deadlines while maintaining flexibility for route adjustments.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
• Maintain accurate records of HOS , deliveries, pickups and delivery documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery status or issues encountered on the road.
• Safely load, secure, and unload cargo using appropriate equipment like pallet jacks or lift gate when necessary.

Skills

• Proven experience as a commercial driver, courier, or delivery driver with a strong focus on OTR driving and customer interaction.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating 26ft box trucks preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Ability to perform manual lifting tasks safely and efficiently during cargo handling.
• Strong organizational skills for route planning, documentation, and time management.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections and troubleshooting minor issues on the road.

Qualifications:

• Must have no major driving violations on MVR
• Must have valid drivers license
• Must have DOT Medical card
• Must have at minimum 2 years of driving experience of 26ft box truck or bigger.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $700.00 - $1,100.00 per week
