Premier Outdoor Group (parent company of Premier Gunite Pools and Premier Landscape) designs and builds high-end pools and complete outdoor living spaces across New England. We’re the “GC of the backyard” - from simple inground gunite swimming pools to full backyard retreats.

We’re hiring a local Outdoor Living & Pool Designer who doesn’t just want a job, but a seat at the table as we grow. Someone who may also want to help build the design department, influence standards, and grow into a leadership role over the next few years.

You’ll collaborate closely with the Owner(s) and our sales and construction teams in New England. Over time, this opportunity could lead you to become the on-the-ground design lead helping us shape how Premier Outdoor Group designs and delivers backyard experiences to their clients.

What You’ll Do

• Design complete outdoor environments, including:
• Pools & spas
• Planting concepts and planting plans
• Hardscapes (pool decks, patios, walks, stairs, retaining/seat walls)
• Concept-level structures (pergolas, pavilions, cabanas, covered areas)
• Outdoor kitchens, fire features, and lounge/dining zones
• Furniture & fixture layouts so spaces actually work in real life
• Work would be a mix of (and will shift over time): ~60%fast-track, pool-focused designs. ~40% full outdoor living / complex backyard projects.
• Produce fast, accurate construction drawings in AutoCAD (or equivalent) that our crews can build from with minimal guesswork.
• Join sales/design meetings: Forward-facing on larger, design-driven projects to help sell the vision. More behind-the-scenes support on simpler projects.
• Perform a basic zoning/code review on each design package, and know when to bring in surveyors/engineers (uncertain property lines, towns that require engineered plans).
• Visit job sites occasionally across New England to understand grades, access, and how your designs play out in reality.
• Give feedback and ideas on how we can improve our design standards, packages, and processes as we grow.

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves

• 3–7 years’ experience inlandscape design, landscape architecture, outdoor living, and/or pool design.
• Strong, proven drafting skills in AutoCAD or a very similar CAD platform – you’re fast and accurate.
• Solid understanding of grades, elevations, and how outdoor projects get built.
• Experience designing with a mix of pools, hardscapes, planting, lighting, and outdoor living spaces.
• Positive attitude, team player, responsive and reliable.
• Ability to prioritize, move quickly, and stay creative during busy seasons – this is not a “coast-through-9-to-5” role.
• Local to New England, with the ability to visit sitesas needed (paid travel will be included)

Nice-to-haves

• 3D experience (SketchUp, Lumion, Pool Studio/Structure Studios, etc.).
• Landscape Architecture degree and/or LA stamp.

This isn’t a dead-end production role.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
