If you've worked with homeowners before - as a Realtor, designer, sales consultant, or in-home service sales rep - you already know what it takes to win trust fast and guide people toward the right decision.

That's exactly what this role is.

The Collective Outdoors is a 10,000 sq ft destination showroom specializing in premium outdoor furniture, grills, shades, fans, heaters, and accessories. Customers come here to browse and they come because they want help designing the right backyard setup.

This is a relationship + consultative sales role where follow-up, confidence, and presentation matter.

What You'll Do

  • Welcome every customer who walks in and guide their experience
  • Ask questions, learn their needs, and help them build the right outdoor layout
  • Provide product guidance on fabrics, finishes, layouts, comfort, and function
  • Create quotes and close sales using Lightspeed POS
  • Email quotes the same business day
  • Follow up with customers within 24 hours (this is where top earners win)
  • Coordinate delivery details with customers and internal team
  • Track weekly showroom sales activity and pipeline follow-ups
  • Work with Marketing to create simple showroom content that drives sales
  • Post clearance items on Facebook Marketplace / OfferUp / Craigslist
  • Keep the showroom clean, organized, and presentation-ready
  • Communicate inventory and supply needs to the Office Manager

  • Relationship-based sales roles where follow-up drives revenue

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years experience in sales or customer-facing consultative roles
  • Comfortable with POS systems and basic quoting/email follow-up
  • Strong communication and follow-up habits (non-negotiable)
  • Confident guiding homeowners through decisions without being pushy
  • Passion for outdoor living, furniture, and design
  • Self-starter who likes accountability and earning commission
  • High integrity, professional presentation, team-first attitude

Compensation & Schedule

  • W-2 Part-Time (20-30 hours/week)
  • $40,000-$60,000/ year ($15-17/hr base + Commissions and Bonuses)
  • Commission tied to sales performance and gross profit goals
  • Bonus opportunity for higher margin sales
  • Family-owned environment with real influence on showroom execution

Typical schedule:

  • Monday-Friday
  • Some Saturdays required February through July (our busiest season)
