The Fire Proofing & Coating Sales & Project Engineer will manage both sales development and project execution for fireproofing, passive fire protection (PFP), intumescent coatings, protective coatings, and insulation services. The role includes client acquisition, technical presentations, BOQ study, proposal preparation, site coordination, and end-to-end project delivery.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESA. SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Identify new opportunities in Oil & Gas, Civil, Marine, Power Plants, and Industrial sectors.
- Promote Vortexen’s full range of fireproofing and specialized coating solutions.
- Conduct site visits, client meetings, and technical presentations.
- Prepare and submit technical-commercial proposals, BOQ pricing, and project offers.
- Achieve monthly sales and project acquisition targets.
- Participate in tendering, vendor registrations, and prequalification packages.
B. TECHNICAL & PROJECT ENGINEERING
- Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
- Prepare method statements, material submittals, and compliance documents.
- Coordinate with suppliers for approved products like intumescent coatings, cementitious fireproofing, epoxy coatings, PFP materials, and insulation systems.
- Advise clients on correct material selection based on UL / FM / Civil Defence requirements.
- Estimate quantities, materials, and manpower requirements.
- Plan and schedule daily work activities and site progress.
C. PROJECT EXECUTION
- Supervise applicators and multi-skilled technicians on site.
- Ensure correct surface preparation, mixing ratios, application thickness, curing, and finishing.
- Monitor progress, material consumption, and installation quality.
- Ensure compliance with Civil Defence, ADNOC, and project QA/QC standards.
- Maintain client sign-offs, MIR/WIR submissions, and handover documentation.
D. COORDINATION & REPORTING
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and accounts for smooth project flow.
- Submit daily and weekly site reports, progress updates, and billing status.
- Manage variations, change requests, and project close-out documents.
3. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or related engineering field.
- Minimum 3–5 years UAE experience in Fireproofing / PFP / Coatings / Insulation projects.
- Strong understanding of intumescent coatings, cementitious fireproofing, epoxy coatings, and protective coatings.
- UAE Driving License required.
- Knowledge of ADNOC, Civil Defence, and industrial standards.
- Ability to read drawings, calculate quantities, and prepare BOQs.
