General: Responsible for performing all tasks relative to outpatient referral communications with the patient/client and physician office referral sources
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Handles intake inquiries from physician offices and intakes all pertinent customer order information including documentation required to meet coverage criteria
- Responds to questions posed by provider offices and other outpatient referral sources related to home equipment/supply needs, acting as a liaison between MSC, patient/caregiver and the referral source.
- Maintains open communication with patients/clients and referral sources, responding to all questions and concerns.
- Markets our services to the provider offices and other potential referral sources within the community.
- Maintains open communications with all referral sources and documents with whom and with what frequency
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited high school or GED equivalence.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Physical Requirements:
- Two years (minimum) of HME customer service experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of intake implications of industry change.
- Excellent skill sets in communication and customer relations.
- Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills (a TEAM player).
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and perform setup tasks throughout the workday
- Must be able to safely operate equipment and follow all safety protocols
