Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LADC, and under supervision) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in behavioral health and demonstrate proficiency in various therapeutic techniques. This role involves providing mental health counseling to individuals, families, and groups, with a focus on promoting emotional well-being and personal growth. The counselor will work collaboratively with clients to develop effective treatment plans and facilitate positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on client goals and therapeutic interventions.
- Provide counseling services that may include crisis intervention, trauma counseling, and gender issues counseling.
- Engage in data collection and research to enhance the effectiveness of counseling strategies.
- Work with individuals with disabilities, ensuring accessibility and tailored support for their unique challenges.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and provide holistic support for clients.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent credential (LMFT, LCSW, LMFT, or LADC), or LPC candidates under supervision (candidates $67,200/yr and same benefits, raise to $80k when fully licensed).
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles and therapeutic techniques.
- Experience in crisis intervention is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training in relevant areas of mental health.
