Outpatient Pharmacy Technician Trainee (Bilingual) lvl II PT24

Job Summary:

Under direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, may perform packaging, manipulative, repetitive, & other non discretionary tasks, including removing drugs from stock, counting, pouring, or mixing pharmaceutical.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Under direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, may perform packaging, manipulative, repetitive, & other non discretionary tasks, including removing drugs from stock, counting, pouring, or mixing pharmaceutical

  • Placing product into a container

  • Affixing label(s) onto container

  • Packaging & repackaging

  • Performs other duties as required

Basic Qualifications:
Experience
  • N/A
Education
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
License, Certification, Registration
  • Pharmacy Technician License (California)
Additional Requirements:
  • Successful completion of the Kaiser Outpatient Pharmacy Technician Program required
  • Working knowledge of current drug forms, dosage strengths, generic & trade name equivalents
  • Knowledge of Federal & State laws / regulations regarding the provision of pharmaceutical services
  • Ability to learn & operate the pharmacy computer system & other equipment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time w/ frequent bending, stooping, lifting & reaching
  • Ability to read, understand & transcribe pharmaceutical information
  • Lift or transport items of 1 - 50 lbs
  • Consistently demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities, & behaviors necessary to provide superior & culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members & to customers, contracted providers, & vendors
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Must pass entrance exam and background check
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Level II required.

  • Must successfully pass or have passed the bilingual test (within the last 12 months), or be active in the QBS program.
  • Expected to travel and work at WLA Med Ctr, BHC, CM, ING, PV, SLA, SM & VEN Outpatient Pharmacies based on operational needs.
