Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatrist to join our growing mental health practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in outpatient private practice and be skilled in providing care for adult patients. Responsibilities include conducting diagnostic evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering high-quality psychiatric care. Our practice offers robust administrative support—including scheduling, billing, and prior authorizations—allowing you to focus fully on clinical work. This position is primarily remote with visits conducted via telehealth, with one day per week of in-person care required. While we have offices in Orlando, we are able to establish a local office space near your location in Florida to accommodate this requirement. The role offers flexibility to set your own schedule, with a minimum of 20 clinical hours per week expected, and compensation is structured as a 1099 independent contractor arrangement.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • Manage medication regimens through psychopharmacology, ensuring safe and effective use of psychiatric medications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Engage in telehealth services to expand access to care for patients.

Skills

  • Strong background in outpatient psychiatry
  • Ability to perform intake assessments effectively and manage outpatient clinic responsibilities.
  • Outpatient experience for at least 1 year preferred
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction
