Job Description Summary

Schedule: Mon-Fri, no weekend & no holidays

  • Monday - Thursday: 7:30am-5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am – 12:00pm per operational availability

Join our compassionate Outpatient Care Center team at OhioHealth’s Grant Outpatient Care Center as a Registered Nurse supporting direct patient care. This RN will support Providers while ensuring seamless coordination of patient care and assisting with both administrative and clinical functions in OBGYN, Addiction Medicine and Geriatric care.

In this role, you’ll play an essential part in supporting patient care by performing and assisting with procedures such as non-stress tests (NSTs), injections, and other routine clinical tasks. Additional responsibilities include patient triage, follow-up coordination, patient education, and assisting with orders, authorizations, and documentation. This position is ideal for a nurse who enjoys variety in their day, balancing hands-on patient care with coordination and communication to ensure each patient receives timely, personalized support.

Additional Information With Addiction Medicine

  • Support patients through withdrawal management, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and ongoing recovery care.
  • Administer medications such as buprenorphine, naltrexone, and methadone under provider direction.
  • Conduct patient assessments, monitor for signs of relapse, and provide crisis intervention when needed.
  • Educate patients and families on harm reduction, overdose prevention, and recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with behavioral health providers, social workers, and community resources to ensure holistic care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse health care settings.

The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

According to department policies and nursing care standards, provides professional nursing care services to patients.

Responsibilities And Duties

30% Assessment/Diagnosis

Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual.

30% Outcomes Identification/Planning

Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.

20% Implementation/Evaluation

Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data.

10% Leadership

  • Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.

10% Operations

Minimum Qualifications

High School or GED (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing

Additional Job Description

  • OB/GYN, Geriatric Medicine, and/or Addiction Medicine experience is preferred but not required
