Blueprints is seeking a compassionate and skilled Outpatient Therapist to join our Chapter Two program. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong understanding of addiction, clinical assessment, and both individual and group therapy techniques. As a key member of the treatment team, the Outpatient Therapist partners with clinical staff to guide clients through early recovery, helping them build a foundation for long-term, self-directed success.
The ideal candidate is empathetic, organized, and driven, with the ability to manage a caseload while delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized, evidence-based therapy tailored to each client’s needs
- Manage a client caseload, including treatment planning, goal setting, and progression through the program
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions
- Complete intake evaluations, assessments, and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in the EMR
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including medical, case management, and support services
- Facilitate case consultations and participate in clinical team meetings
- Support client engagement and retention in programming
- Develop aftercare plans and coordinate discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Complete insurance authorization and utilization review activities
- Review and interpret drug screenings as part of client care
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards
- Participate in supervision, training, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications
Candidates must meet Pennsylvania Department of Drug & Alcohol Programs requirements for Counselor or Counselor Assistant status, including one of the following:
- Master’s Degree (or higher) in psychology, social work, counseling, chemical dependency, nursing, or related field
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with at least 1 year (1,820 hours) of clinical experience
- Associate Degree in a related field with at least 2 years (3,640 hours) of clinical experience
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of counseling experience
- Full certification as an addictions counselor through a recognized certification body
Relevant experience in a drug and alcohol treatment setting is preferred.
