We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated Outreach Specialist to join our dedicated team. This is a full-time, remote position for a candidate based in the United States. As an Outreach Specialist, you will play a crucial role in expanding our reach and impact within the community, ensuring that more young people can benefit from our life-changing programmes.

We provide a safe, educational, and fun environment for youth after school and during summer breaks. Our programmes are designed to improve academic achievement, build character, and strengthen life skills. Our vision is that every young person who comes to our clubs will graduate from high school with a plan for their future, demonstrate good character and leadership, and live a healthy lifestyle. This role is fundamental to connecting our mission with the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute innovative outreach strategies to promote awareness of the Boys & Girls Club’s programmes and mission.
  • Establish and maintain strong, positive relationships with community partners, including schools, local businesses, and other non-profit organisations.
  • Represent the organisation professionally at virtual and in-person community events, meetings, and presentations.
  • Drive enrolment in our after-school and summer programmes through targeted community engagement and promotional activities.
  • Assist in the creation of compelling marketing and promotional materials, including flyers, brochures, and digital content.
  • Track, analyse, and report on the effectiveness of outreach initiatives, providing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with internal programme and administrative teams to ensure a cohesive approach to community engagement.
  • Manage and grow the organisation's presence on relevant digital and social media platforms.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in community outreach, partnership development, public relations, or a similar role.
  • A genuine passion for youth development and a strong commitment to the mission of the Boys & Girls Club of El Paso.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse audiences.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment, showing high levels of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Proficiency in using digital outreach tools, social media platforms, and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Experience working within the non-profit sector or a youth-focused organisation is highly desirable.
  • A degree in Communications, Marketing, Social Work, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
