Outside Brands Part-Time Boat Mechanic

Outside Brands is seeking a Part-Time Boat Mechanic to help maintain and repair our fleet of small boats and outboard motors. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with their hands, troubleshooting engines, and keeping equipment running smoothly.

This position can be a great fit for someone who may be retired or semi-retired and enjoys tinkering with motors while staying active around the water.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on small boats and outboard engines
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues
• Complete preventative maintenance (oil changes, spark plugs, impellers, etc.)
• Assist with minor electrical and battery system checks
• Prepare and apply bottom paint (bottom coating) on vessels as needed
• Maintain basic service logs for repairs and maintenance

Requirements:

• Experience with small engines, marine engines, or mechanical repair is a MUST!!!
• Comfortable diagnosing and solving mechanical problems
• Dependable and organized
• Ability to work around docks and lift equipment as needed

Schedule
Part-time | Flexible hours | Approximately 10–20 hours per week

Compensation
$28 – $35 per hour, depending on experience.
