Valtir, LLC is hiring a Sales Professional for our Sign-Post and Flexible Delineator business segment!
We are searching for a talented individual to join our sales team, and to be the primary representative in certain strategic markets. This person will be responsible for developing new sales, account management, and daily customer interaction via phone calls, emails, industry events, and in-person meetings. The sales professional role will include selling to distributor/dealer partners, and in some cases, selling directly to contractors or state/municipal agencies.
In addition, this role will include the oversight and sales of complimentary product lines, tracking of projects and inventory, and overall business and product development. This person will familiarize themselves and work closely with owner agencies, such as DOT’s, municipalities, etc. as well as engineers and design firms regarding product specifications and new product acceptance.
What you'll do:

The Sales Professional will report to the Director of Sales and will be instrumental in supporting the business plan through profitable revenue generation.

The Sales Professional’s primary responsibility is to serve our customers in a timely fashion through the sale of our Sign-Post and Delineator products and to coordinate these various accounts efficiently to grow the business.

Telephone prospective customers and solicit business.

Attend Regional and/or national conferences and seminars.

Maintain contact with and act as a liaison to existing and potential new customers.

Work closely with our Inside Sales, Customer Service, and Scheduling teams to meet customer needs, including close communication with Service and Logistics to ensure deadlines are met.

Monitor sales inventory and track project trends and product cycles.

Inform customers of supply and price trends and prepare quotations.

Negotiate prices with customers, within established limits.

Secure, review, process, and expedite orders.

Write orders, keep records, maintain files, and create CRM reports on all phases of activities including sales recaps.

Track orders through the system until timely delivery of products.

Provide input regarding forecast figures.

Work with the sales director to improve efficiency of product offering and sales effort.

Provide technical guidance to customers, project owners, and affiliates.

Research supply contracts, projects and bidding opportunities.

Assist marketing in preparing email/print campaigns, PR Articles, ads, films and market forecasts as requested.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Extensive travel is required.

Location will be remote home office within the United States strategically located within a reasonable driving distance of a major airport. Valtir has many strategic markets across the US and is interested in finding the ideal candidate, regardless of location. What you'll need:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

3 years sales experience, strong planning, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

3 years of experience in the construction industry with sales and customer service success, in either vertical, commercial, or highway/traffic safety.

3 years of experience working within the DOT highway industry is preferred.

Experience with state highway plans/specifications is a plus.

Ability to work on a flexible schedule, which may include extended work hours.

Proficient computer skills with extensive experience using Microsoft Office and a CRM platform.

Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multi-task.

Ability to work on a team and as well as independently.

Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record is required.
