Overhaul Supervisor – Rolling Stock

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Overhaul Supervisor to lead Rolling Stock component overhaul activities, including Bogie, Coupler, Gangway, Doors, HVAC, and other critical systems. The role is responsible for delivering the daily production plan safely, efficiently, and in compliance with railway standards. The candidate will drive productivity, ensure quality compliance, and foster a high-performance team culture.

Mandatory Requirements & Qualification (Non-Negotiable):

Education:

• Engineering ONC or equivalent qualification (or relevant experience in production/maintenance roles)

Experience:

• Proven leadership/supervisory experience
• Experience in Rolling Stock maintenance, overhaul, or similar heavy engineering environment

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Rolling Stock overhaul practices
• Understanding of railway maintenance standards
• Good IT systems/software knowledge
• Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) regulations
• Basic understanding of continuous improvement principles

Mandatory Criteria:

• 5-8 years experience in rolling stock maintenance
• 2-3 years in supervisory/leadership role
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Good knowledge of IT systems and maintenance software
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Good understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise overhaul and repair of Rolling Stock components (Bogie, Coupler, Gangway, Doors, HVAC, etc.)
• Execute daily production plans while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with railway standards
• Plan and manage manpower, tools, materials, and third-party services
• Monitor productivity, reduce non-conformance costs, and drive efficiency improvements
• Implement and enforce HSE policies and safety standards
• Conduct audits, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance management for team members
• Ensure proper shift handover, documentation, and reporting
