Overhead Door Technician
Job summary
- Install and service commercial, residential overhead and rolling steel doors.
- Install and service high speed, temperature control, fabric, security gates, counter doors and dock equipment.
- Will install and test fire rated doors.
- Install all electric openers needed for the above listed doors
Summary of essential job functions
- Install and services all product we sale.
- Drive, inspect daily and stock assigned company truck.
- Operate forklifts and other lift equipment.
- Use assorted tools necessary for performing this job.
- Use of ladder for a majority of the job function
Minimum requirements
- Must have own personal hand tools and accessories needed to perform the job
- Must agree to company dress and personal appearance policy (i.e. long pants and boots) year round
- Working heights up to 20 feet
- Must be able to be on your feet for at least 7 hours a day
- Able to lift up to 100 lbs. frequently
- Be Forklift Certified or attain it while employed
- Pass drug test and be subject to company’s drug testing policy
- Must have an acceptable driving record (pre-approve by our insurance before job offer)
Preferred experience
- Previous installing of doors
- Construction, metal fabrication and electrical a plus
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
