Job Title: Overnight Dispatch Agent
Summary
The Overnight Dispatch Agent is responsible for answering incoming calls related to non-emergency discharges, ride requests, and customer inquiries. This role requires projecting a professional company image through courteous and effective phone communication while coordinating trip assignments efficiently during overnight hours.
Essential Functions
- Answer incoming calls regarding Medicaid-eligible non-emergency discharges, ride requests, and estimated time of arrivals.
- Enter and manage trip orders accurately within the computer system.
- Provide timely and accurate information to providers, including projected service times.
- Identify, research, and resolve customer or provider issues using internal systems.
- Follow up on customer inquiries that are not immediately resolved.
- Complete required call logs, reports, and documentation.
- Organize, plan, and optimize daily and overnight trip route assignments in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
- Support other departments and offices with trip assignments and coordination.
- Ensure both short- and long-range planning is conducted to identify trips requiring eligibility verification.
- Handle all calls and interactions in a professional and courteous manner with members, facilities, and employees.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
- Previous dispatch experience required.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Strong analytical skills to review schedules and assign resources efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to focus on assigned tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments and external facilities/providers.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to take direction well and adapt to changing priorities.
- Computer literate with the ability to learn customer service and dispatch software applications.

Job Type: Full-time
