Job Summary
Join our dedicated healthcare team as an Overnight/NOC Caregiver/Med Tech, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, around-the-clock care, ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents in an assisted living, setting. Your advanced medical skills and attentive caregiving will support residents through their daily routines and medical needs during overnight hours, fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
Duties
- Deliver comprehensive resident care during overnight shifts, including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Manage medical documentation accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor residents’ physiology and anatomy-related health indicators to detect changes requiring immediate attention or escalation.
- Maintain detailed records of resident care activities, medical records, and incident reports with precision and confidentiality.
- Assist with hospice or dementia care plans by providing emotional support and implementing safety measures tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers using ECP to coordinate patient care effectively during overnight hours.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration protocols.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring memory care such as Alzheimer’s or dementia care.
- Certification as a Medical Technician (Med Tech) is not required but is a plus
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with compassionate communication tailored to seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- Must be able to pass a background check through the Dept. of Health and Welfare
- Obtain a CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
