Basic Qualifications

To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

  • 10+ years of highly effective leadership experience with a proven ability to manage through complex environments.
  • Previous Capture or Program Management experience at a senior level.
  • Project or Program management / leadership experience with demonstrated ability to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
  • Experience as a CAM or with earned value management principles.
  • Prior Program Management, IRAD, or CRAD execution experience.
  • Experience interfacing with company executives, customers and external agencies.
  • Experience with risk and opportunity management
  • Experience with integrated planning or equivalent
  • You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET, with ability to obtain an SCI clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

What does this role look like?

National Security Space is seeking a Program Management Director to define, plan and execute the P410 Global Security Strategy within the Space Security and Intelligence Mission Segment. The Program Management Director will be responsible to position Lockheed Martin with meeting critical national priority Mission needs and for capture, architecture, and early program shaping and execution of the P410 program.

In this role you will have the following daily key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with LM Space organizations to include the Strategy and Business Development organization to win and execute program opportunities.
  • Be responsible for the overall cost/schedule/technical execution of the P410 program.
  • Lead the innovation and development of systems and products associated with needs of the customer.
  • Engage regularly with senior government officials, industry partners, and suppliers on behalf of Lockheed Martin.
  • Stay up to date with relevant mission knowledge and have the ability and willingness to develop innovative approaches for satisfying the diverse customer requirements that are technically superior and efficient.
  • Assist with program capture activities.
  • Deliver a positive customer experience.

This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Denver, Colorado , and be expected to work in the office.

Desired Skills

To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

  • Current LM Space Program Management experience.
  • Mission Domain knowledge.
  • Proven track record of establishing relationships with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and quickly adjust to changing priorities.
  • Completion of Program Management Development Program, Program Management Institute, or equivalent certification.
