POSITION SUMMARY:

The Packaging Coordinator is responsible for organizing, tracking, and coordinating all packaging materials and activities to support efficient production and shipment of finished goods. This role ensures packaging components are available, accurate, and compliant with specifications, while supporting communication between Toledo Tool & Die customers, Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Warehouse teams.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Track inventory levels of packaging materials and ensure packaging materials are replenished when needed.
  • Monitor daily usage and maintain accurate counts within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Communicate with customers on container demands.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliations for packaging components.
  • Order pallets as needed.
  • Assist with other purchasing functions as directed.
Requirements:


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or other related field or 2-4 years of experience as a packaging buyer, purchasing role, or shipping and receiving in lieu of education.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is strongly preferred.

GENERAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to be adaptable, flexible and advance existing skill sets to be able to serve future office needs in additional capacities.
  • Ability to take direction, coaching, and act positively to improve performance.

SOFTWARE/COMPUTER SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with Excel required.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's ERP system.
  • Has the ability to learn new software systems and data management systems quickly.
  • Proficient keyboarding and typing skills.
