Position Summary

We are seeking Packaging Design & Engineering to create compelling, manufacturable designs that elevate brand experience for consumer-packaged goods (CPG) companies. This role focuses on injection-molded and blow molded packaging components in the plastic industry, guiding projects from concept to production. The candidate will work in close collaboration with our design and engineering and manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate is both creative and technically strong—passionate about innovative design, skilled in CAD modeling, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment where precision, quality, and market impact are critical.

What you’ll do

  • Design innovative solutions as a team leader in providing the next generation of packaging goods – CPG and expert matter.
  • Conduct market and consumer research to inspire innovative and competitive designs.
  • Develops 2D packaging components layouts and analysis of stack-up and tolerances.
  • Develops CAD models and engineering drawings for technical review to ensure manufacturability and accuracy.
  • Validate volumetric, surface area, plastic weight efficiency, dimensional tolerances and assembly.
  • Build functional prototypes for client and internal review.
  • Expert matter in injection molding and blow molding design engineering for part validation with tool makers, strategic suppliers and any cross-functional partners (marketing, Design & Engineering, R&D, and manufacturing, decoration, quality control and brand equity team leaders.
  • Ensure designs meet brand, cost, quality, and sustainability requirements.
  • Present solutions effectively to clients and stakeholders, both virtually and in person.
  • Partner with QA and manufacturing teams to verify designs against specifications.
  • Apply knowledge of plant operations, DFM principles, and standard processes to design solutions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, Product Design, or D&E related field.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience (CPG/packaging experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling software (SolidWorks preferred, Rhino, Grasshopper, or similar).

Additional are welcome:

  • Sculpting & organic modeling software
  • FEA or similar simulation and analysis tools
  • Manufacturing automation
  • Strong digital and hand sketching abilities.
  • Rendering/visualization skills (KeyShot or similar)
  • Adobe Creative Suite proficiency (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
  • Familiarity with injection molding and DFM principles (preferred).
  • Knowledge of materials, finishes, and CMF application.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to balance creativity with technical and manufacturing requirements.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects independently.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
