Packaging Designer (Project-Based)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Packaging Designer to work with us on a project-based basis. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in creating innovative, eye-catching, and functional packaging designs for various products. This is a great opportunity for freelance designers or agencies looking to collaborate on exciting packaging projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design creative and functional packaging solutions for various products
• Develop packaging concepts from initial sketches to final production-ready files
• Create 3D mockups and product visualizations
• Ensure designs align with brand guidelines and marketing objectives
• Prepare print-ready artwork with proper specifications (die-lines, bleed, color modes)
• Collaborate with clients to understand product requirements and target audience
• Research market trends and competitor packaging designs
• Provide multiple design concepts and revisions as needed
• Work with printers and manufacturers to ensure quality production
• Deliver final files in required formats (AI, PDF, PSD, etc.)

Requirements

• Proven experience in packaging design
• Strong portfolio showcasing packaging design work
• Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Knowledge of 3D mockup tools (Photoshop 3D, Blender, Cinema 4D, or similar)
• Understanding of printing processes, materials, and production requirements
• Knowledge of die-lines, structural packaging design, and print specifications
• Creative thinking with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
• Strong communication skills for client interactions
• Understanding of different packaging types (boxes, labels, pouches, bottles, etc.)
