Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer to lead the technical development of luxury packaging solutions across primary and secondary formats. The role requires strong expertise in materials, manufacturing processes, quality, and supplier coordination, with a deep understanding of the expectations of luxury beauty and fragrance brands.

Key Responsibilities

Packaging Development & Engineering

• Develop and engineer primary packaging (bottles, pumps, caps, droppers, closures) and secondary packaging (folding cartons, rigid boxes, inserts).
• Translate creative concepts and brand guidelines into technically feasible, cost-effective packaging solutions.
• Ensure packaging meets luxury standards for aesthetics, performance, and user experience.

Materials & Manufacturing

• Select appropriate materials (glass, plastics, aluminum, paperboard, specialty substrates).
• Work closely with manufacturers to define tooling, tolerances, finishes, and decorations (hot stamping, embossing, debossing, lacquering, metallization).
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, sustainability, and scalability.

Testing, Quality & Compliance

• Conduct and manage packaging testing (compatibility, leakage, drop tests, transport tests).
• Ensure compliance with international cosmetic and fragrance regulations and quality standards.
• Support quality audits, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Supplier & Project Management

• Liaise with international suppliers, mold makers, and converters.
• Manage development timelines, technical documentation, and cost targets.
• Support sourcing decisions and evaluate new suppliers and technologies.

Innovation & Sustainability

• Propose innovative packaging solutions aligned with luxury trends.
• Support sustainability initiatives (material reduction, recyclability, refill systems).

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
• 3–7+ years of experience in packaging engineering, preferably within luxury beauty, cosmetics, or fragrance.
• Strong knowledge of primary & secondary packaging materials and processes.
• Experience working with high-end finishes and decorative techniques.
• Familiarity with packaging testing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with international suppliers (Europe/Asia preferred).

Pay: AED280,000.00 - AED300,000.00 per year
