Packaging Material Procurement Executive

The Packaging Material Procurement Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of packaging materials required for production. The role ensures cost-effective, timely, and high-quality procurement aligned with production and business needs while maintaining supplier relationships and compliance with quality and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and source packaging materials (e.g., bottles, cartons, labels, films, foils) as per production requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to quality standards.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with vendors to achieve cost savings.
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance, R&D, and warehouse teams to forecast material needs.
• Monitor market trends and alternative suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and availability.
• Maintain and update procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier performance reports.
• Ensure packaging materials meet regulatory, environmental, and sustainability standards.
• Coordinate with the logistics team for timely delivery and inventory management.
• Participate in supplier audits and evaluations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or PGDM in Packaging and in Supply Chain Management, Packaging Material Development, or related field.
• 1-2 experience in Development of packaging materials.
• 1–2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in packaging materials.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials used in [Beauty & Personal Care/ FMCG / Food & Beverage / Pharma / etc.].
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of packaging materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with sustainable and eco-friendly packaging sourcing.
• Understanding of supply chain risks and vendor compliance.
• Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,219.36 - ₹34,623.49 per month
