How would you contribute?
This role is a contributing member of our Airlite - Omaha team, located in Omaha, NE. As a Packer Trainer you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. The Packer Trainer is responsible for engaging in training events for team members, this includes, but is not limited to, new hire training, ongoing coaching sessions, mentoring opportunities, new process training and/or job related certifications. In addition to these responsibilities this role will also function in the capacity of an Inspector Packer when necessary.
Essential Duties:

Apply adult learning principles to training and development opportunities.

Assist in the development and execution of training plans.

Support company sponsored training events such as new hire orientation, production certification and new employee onboarding.

Model the skills, knowledge, behaviors and abilities necessary for trainee(s) to be successful and serve as a mentor to team members.

Provide improvement-oriented feedback to trainees and team members.
-
Providing coaching, technique and support to team members to achieve optimal performance in alignment with the core values established by the company.

Complete accurate and timely documentation as required on each assigned trainee.

Provide guidance and feedback to the training department to ensure consistency with training programs.

Comply with the documented procedures to perform the job and serve as a role model.

Communicates issues and roadblocks with the leadership team in a timely manner.

Attend training and development meetings as assigned.

Attend work regularly as scheduled to facilitate training.

Responsible for reporting food safety problems to management.

Perform Packer duties when not assigned to trainee(s).

Other duties may be assigned.

Six months related experience and/or training.

Must be Inspector Packer certified.

Prior technical training or experience preferred.

Certification on multiple platforms preferred.

Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred.

Successful completion of Train the Trainer course(s) preferred. (Must be completed within six months.)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities but is required to successfully interface with members of cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.

In this role, you may be required to use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials such as: metal working fluids, alcohol, waste oil and other routine industrial chemicals. Safety Data Sheets are available for all materials in which you may be exposed.
