PACU Registered Nurse (RN) – 13 Week Contract | 3548763

Location: Plymouth, MA

A hospital in Plymouth, MA is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. This role is ideal for nurses with strong post-anesthesia recovery experience who are comfortable managing immediate post-operative patients in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia
• Monitor airway, hemodynamic stability, and post-operative recovery status
• Assess and manage pain, nausea, and post-surgical complications
• Administer IV medications and monitor sedation reversal as needed
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and surgical teams
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital recovery protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license required
• Minimum 2+ years of recent PACU experience required
• Prior acute care hospital experience required
• Strong airway management and post-anesthesia assessment skills
• Ability to manage high patient turnover and rapid recovery workflow

Required Certifications

• BLS required
• ACLS required
• PALS required (if facility treats pediatric cases)

Contract Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (evenings)
• Employment Type: Contract (not permanent)
