Overview:
As a Painter with Rogue Valley Manor, you will provide refurbishing painting, wall covering, final finishing services, and other painting duties to interiors and exteriors of facilities at the community.
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Prepare all necessary surfaces to receive sealers, stain, or wall covering.
- Repair/prepare drywall and plaster surfaces to receive paint or wall covering.
- Match existing colors of paints and stain; mix paints or stains. Properly mask and protect areas not to be painted.
- Apply sealers, paints, and stains by the current standard professional methods of the industry.

Clean, maintain and make minor repairs to all equipment used in the preparing, painting, and wall covering process.

Provide adequate protection and cleanup of all areas that are adjacent to work areas.
- Maintain Paint Shop and owned vehicles in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Assist in estimating and ordering adequate supplies, materials, and equipment to perform each task/project as needed.
- Use all necessary and proper safety equipment (including PPE) and techniques when performing all levels of the job.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Formal technical training in painting or a related field is preferred.
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in painting, drywall repair, finishing, texturing, caulking or a related field.
- Proficient experience in all methods of surface preparations to accept each level of finish work; including but not limited to: sealer, base and top coat applications.
- Ability to apply all types of standard and/or custom finishes by current professional industry methods and techniques.
- Ability to pass annual Occupational Health Exam and Respirator Fit Test.
