Job Description

To preserve and enhance the visual elegance of Fairmont Ajman through expert painting, finishing, and decorative maintenance. The Painter ensures all guest rooms, public areas, recreation facilities, and back of house spaces reflect the immaculate presentation expected of a luxury Fairmont property. Through craftsmanship, precision, and a commitment to excellence, this role supports the hotel's aesthetic standards and contributes to an exceptional guest environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior painting of guest rooms, public areas, back of house, and offices
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks, and applying primers
• Mix, match, and apply paints, varnishes, stains, and coatings as required
• Carry out touch ups and minor repairs to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and metal surfaces
• Ensure all work is completed as per brand standards and maintenance schedules
• Protect furniture, fixtures, and floors during painting works
• Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times
• Maintain tools, equipment, and painting materials in good condition
• Coordinate with Engineering and other departments to minimize disruption to operations
• Report any maintenance issues observed during work to the supervisor

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Painter (hotel or hospitality experience preferred)
• Basic knowledge of paints, coatings, tools, and surface preparation techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to work at heights when required
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and use of PPE
