Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute painting plans aligned with project requirements
• Perform construction site tasks including framing, trim carpentry, drywall installation, masonry work like stucco and concrete finishing, and fixture installation when needed
• Conduct restoration and renovation work by repairing damaged surfaces and updating existing structures with precision
• Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed for efficient job execution
• Maintain safety protocols on-site by handling tools properly and adhering to all health and safety regulations

Skills

• Extensive experience with residential and commercial painting projects
• Strong knowledge of color theory for selecting appropriate paints and finishes
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and industrial equipment such as welding machines
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
• Familiarity with plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry, and concrete finishing techniques
• Experience in construction estimating and basic math for project planning
• Hands-on experience with renovation projects involving remodeling or restoration work
• Knowledge of industrial painting processes and fixture installation techniques
• Skilled in maintenance tasks including handyman services like drywall repair or fixture replacement
