Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet client expectations and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from restoration and remodeling to new construction, utilizing your skills in painting, surface preparation, and finishing techniques.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools.
• Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope and surface specifications.
• Perform surface repairs including plastering, caulking, stucco application, and trim carpentry to ensure smooth finishes.
• Execute specialized painting tasks such as industrial painting, masonry coating, or restoration work on various substrates.
• Use construction estimating skills to assess project requirements and materials needed for efficient job completion.
• Install fixtures or hardware as needed during renovation or remodeling projects while maintaining safety protocols on construction sites.

Experience

• Proven experience in residential and commercial painting with a solid understanding of construction site procedures.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics for precise project execution.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and safety equipment required for construction painting tasks.
• Knowledge of color theory for selecting appropriate finishes and coatings that meet aesthetic and functional requirements.
• Background in related trades such as carpentry (trim or frame), masonry, plastering, or welding is a plus.
• Experience with renovation projects or restoration work involving surface preparation and finishing techniques.
