Painter

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance their aesthetic appeal, and ensure durability through precise craftsmanship. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and repairing as needed to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine specifications and project scope.
• Perform surface preparation tasks including plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, and drywall finishing.
• Execute renovation projects involving trim carpentry, fixture installation, framing, and restoration work to meet client specifications.
• Use construction estimating skills to assess materials needed and ensure efficient project completion on time.
• Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using proper equipment and adhering to protocols during tasks such as welding or working at heights.

Skills

• Extensive experience with residential and commercial painting projects across various construction sites.
• Proficiency in handling hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and industrial equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong knowledge of color theory for selecting appropriate finishes that match design requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Skilled in surface preparation techniques including plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry finishing, and drywall repair.
• Familiarity with renovation processes such as remodeling or restoration projects involving carpentry or masonry work.
• Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating material quantities accurately.
• Experience with construction estimating to plan projects efficiently while managing costs.
• Knowledge of industrial painting techniques including airless spray systems and maintenance of painting equipment.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
