Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that enhance the aesthetic and protective qualities of residential, commercial, and industrial spaces. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong understanding of different painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing processes. Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of paint or coatings
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine the scope of work and specific requirements for each project
• Perform specialized painting tasks including residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting, restoration projects, and construction site painting
• Execute surface repairs such as plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, and trim carpentry to create smooth finishes
• Operate construction equipment like scaffolding and ladders safely while adhering to all safety protocols
• Assist with renovation projects by installing fixtures, framing carpentry, drywall repair, and other handyman tasks as needed
• Maintain a clean work environment by properly disposing of waste materials and organizing tools and supplies

Skills

• Extensive experience with construction estimating and project planning
• Strong knowledge of color theory to match paints accurately and achieve desired aesthetics
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for precise execution
• Skilled in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, caulking guns, trowels, and power tools including drills and sanders
• Familiarity with various types of painting including residential, commercial, industrial, renovation, restoration, and construction site work
• Ability to perform surface preparation tasks like plastering, stucco application, masonry work, concrete finishing, framing carpentry & trim carpentry
• Knowledge of schematics for fixture installation or industrial equipment maintenance
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during estimating or project execution
• Experience with welding or masonry is a plus for specialized projects
• Good physical condition with the ability to work at heights on scaffolding or ladders safely
• Handyman experience beneficial for versatile project support
