Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and other hand or power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and schematics to accurately execute painting plans on construction sites.
• Perform specialized painting tasks such as industrial painting, restoration work, stucco application, and masonry finishing.
• Conduct surface repairs including plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, and basic carpentry to ensure a smooth base for painting.
• Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed for efficient job completion.
• Assist with renovation and remodeling projects by installing fixtures, performing drywall finishing, and handling maintenance tasks as required.
• Follow safety protocols on construction sites while operating power tools and welding equipment when necessary.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring high-quality standards are met consistently.

Experience

• A minimum of five years of professional painting experience in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• Proven expertise in construction site experience with the ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Strong knowledge of color theory and surface preparation techniques for various materials including concrete, stucco, masonry, and drywall.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns; power tools including airless sprayers; and specialized equipment like welding machines when needed.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes for material planning and project budgeting.
• Knowledge of renovation processes involving fixture installation, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, plastering, and restoration work.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material quantities efficiently.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
