Painting Inspector - Structural Steel

Job Title: Painting Inspector
Location: Sharjah, UAE

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Salt, Dust, Blotter, Dolly, and DFT tests as per industry standards.
• Monitor surface preparation, blasting, and painting activities to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports and related documentation.
• Raise RFIs, issue NCRs, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with production, project, and client teams to ensure smooth workflow and quality delivery.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in painting/coating inspection for steel structures.
• Mandatory certifications: BGAS Grade 2 or NACE Level 2.
• Strong knowledge of international standards related to coating/painting inspection.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
