Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
• Coordinate with estimators to identify, retrieve, and organize necessary auto parts for repairs and restorations
• Operate power tools, airless paint sprayers, buffing equipment, and other hand tools with precision and safety
• Assist with auto body repair tasks including welding, auto glass replacement, and detailing to support overall vehicle restoration efforts
• Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards and best practices in auto painting and prep work
• Support vehicle maintenance activities such as oil changes, tire rotations, and mechanical inspections as needed
• Collaborate with estimators and technicians to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards

Requirements

• Previous dealership or auto body shop experience is highly preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools
• Knowledge of auto painting techniques including airless spray systems and buffing processes
• Experience with auto restoration, parts, and detailing is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during parts handling or vehicle movement
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients
• Mechanic experience is beneficial for understanding repair scopes and procedures
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and auto repair processes
