Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to oversee daily operations within a vibrant food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food preparation, restaurant management, and customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, ensure exceptional dining experiences, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality across casual dining, fine dining, or catering settings.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant or food service operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies
- Manage staff including hiring, training, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations to foster a motivated team environment
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and quality control measures
- Handle inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Monitor shift management to ensure efficient staffing levels during peak hours and special events like banquets or catering services
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Implement staff training programs focused on food handling, safety protocols, and hospitality excellence
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting to optimize restaurant profitability
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards across all operational areas
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the food industry, including restaurant management or hospitality management roles
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and food safety regulations
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling expertise required
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or fine dining establishments
- Ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, and staff training & development effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on team management and conflict resolution
- Background in culinary arts or kitchen management is preferred; hospitality or hotel experience is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to handle shift management responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills for interviewing candidates and conducting staff development sessions
- Knowledge of food industry trends including catering, bar services, coffee/Barista experience, or banquet operations is advantageous
