Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. In this vital role, you will support a wide range of legal functions across various practice areas, including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, tribal law and regulations, patent law, and more. Your proactive approach and strong organizational skills will help ensure the smooth operation of our law office by managing legal documents, conducting research, and assisting attorneys with case preparation. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies and legal opinions.
- Assist with document review, drafting legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
- Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw; ensure all records are organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
- Support attorneys in preparing for litigation by organizing evidence, drafting summaries, and maintaining case calendars.
- Perform data entry and filing tasks accurately within various legal administrative systems while adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses when necessary to gather relevant information for cases involving family law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, or landlord-tenant disputes.
- Assist with project management tasks related to ongoing legal cases or compliance initiatives across different practice areas.
- Proofread and transcribe legal documents to ensure clarity and accuracy; support the drafting of legal briefs or memoranda.
- Provide executive administrative support by managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of phone etiquette when communicating with clients, vendors, or external agencies.
- Support the firm’s document review processes by analyzing case materials for relevance and accuracy in preparation for court filings or negotiations.
Experience
- Prior paralegal experience in a fast-paced law office environment is required; familiarity with multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, or litigation is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency with legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Experience using document management systems such as iManage or PCLaw for case organization and tracking.
- Strong understanding of legal administrative processes including filing procedures, data entry accuracy, and document review protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for interviewing clients or witnesses and providing clear updates to attorneys.
- Knowledge of project management principles applicable to legal cases or compliance projects is a plus.

Pay: $48,265.30 - $60,125.95 per year
