Duties
- Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, respond to discovery, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Manage legal case files ensuring all records are accurate, organized, and easily accessible.
- Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Support litigation processes through document review, evidence organization, and preparation of trial materials.
- Perform administrative tasks including data entry, filing, proofreading, transcription of legal proceedings, and maintaining calendars for court deadlines.
- Coordinate with clients and external parties via phone with professional etiquette to facilitate case progress.
- Assist in managing project timelines for complex cases involving multiple jurisdictions or practice areas such as criminal defense and civil defense.
- Use legal administrative experience to streamline workflow processes and improve overall efficiency within the law office.
Requirements
- Proven paralegal experience with a strong understanding of diverse legal practice areas including criminal defense and civil defense.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and correspondence.
- Knowledge of legal case management practices including data entry and filing procedures.
- Experience supporting litigation processes from discovery through trial preparation.
- Familiarity with administrative support tasks such as proofreading, transcription services, calendar management for court deadlines, and clerical duties like filing and data entry.
- Exceptional phone etiquette combined with professional communication skills .
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
