Job Summary

The Paralegal will play a critical role in supporting attorneys through trial preparation, case management, and client communication. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case Preparation & Management
  • Organize, index, and maintain case files in digital and physical formats.
  • Manage document review and maintain accurate databases.
  • Legal Drafting & Filing
  • Draft motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Prepare witness statements, affidavits, and declarations.
  • Handle e-filing across state and federal courts.
  • Trial Support
  • Assist attorneys with pre-trial and trial preparation, including exhibits and witness coordination.
  • Client Interaction
  • Communicate professionally with clients, ensuring clarity and confidentiality.
  • Research
  • Conduct legal research using advanced tools and summarize findings for attorney review.
  • Administrative Support
  • Schedule hearings, depositions, and maintain case calendars.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Paralegal certification preferred).
  • Experience: 1–2 years in a law firm or legal setting (criminal defense experience is a plus).
  • Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and e-filing systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Multilingual skills (Spanish or Arabic) are highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
