Paralegal - Family Law

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal specializing in Family Law to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support in managing family law cases, assisting attorneys with document preparation, legal research, and client communication. Your proactive approach and organizational skills will help ensure smooth case progression and excellent client service. Duties

  • Assist attorneys with preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests related to family law cases
  • Conduct thorough legal research across various areas such as estate planning, tribal law & regulations, and personal injury law to support case strategies
  • Manage and organize case files using document management systems like iManage and LexisNexis, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, and evidence for relevance and completeness
  • Interview clients, witnesses, and other stakeholders to gather pertinent information for ongoing cases
  • Support litigation processes by drafting reports, proofreading legal documents, and transcribing depositions or court proceedings
  • Coordinate with clients and external agencies to facilitate case progress while maintaining professional phone etiquette and organizational skills

Requirements

  • Proven paralegal experience with a strong background in family law; familiarity with other practice areas such as estate planning is a plus.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools including LexisNexis, XSpouse, Clio software for case management.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear legal documents and conduct detailed proofreading and transcription
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining meticulous records
  • Experience with document review, data entry, filing systems, and legal administrative support functions
  • Knowledge of the Family Code
  • Effective interviewing techniques combined with professional phone etiquette for client interactions
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a busy law office environment

Pay: $76,800.00 - $100,000.00 per year
