Trustpoint.One is pleased to partner with a large, high-volume defense litigation team with offices in both Philadelphia and Malvern in its search for a full-time Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support a fast-paced group of approximately 15 attorneys. This team is the busiest within the organization, and you will join an established support structure that includes several paralegals and legal assistants.

This position offers the opportunity to work within a well-organized rotation system where cases are assigned evenly and workloads are balanced. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a busy practice group.

About the Role:

  • Join a dynamic team with attorneys working across both Philadelphia and Malvern offices
  • Become the 7th paralegal supporting this high-volume litigation group
  • Workload is assigned via a rotation system to ensure fairness and balance
  • Team encourages transparency—if workload becomes heavy, you’re encouraged to speak up
  • Annual billable expectation: 1600 hours (highly attainable given case volume)

Compensation & Experience of the Litigation Paralegal - Insurance Defense:

  • Salary range: $60,000–$75,000, depending on experience
  • Candidates with 2–3+ years of defense litigation experience strongly preferred
  • Candidates with plaintiff-side experience may be considered if they also have some defense background
  • Strong billing skills are essential—accuracy, clarity, and professionalism are critical due to strict scrutiny by insurance carriers

Key Qualifications of the Litigation Paralegal - Insurance Defense:

  • 2–3 years of litigation paralegal or legal assistant experience
  • Defense experience required (at least partial defense background)
  • Strong billing skills with the ability to provide honest, accurate, and clearly explained time entries
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word), Adobe, and the Pennsylvania Court e-filing system
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with attorneys, staff, clients, and external parties

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and paralegal support to a team of litigation attorneys
  • Prepare correspondence, memos, and standard legal documents
  • Electronically file documents with Pennsylvania courts
  • Monitor incoming court filings and deadlines
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses, and experts
  • Maintain attorney calendars and docket-related deadlines
  • Conduct online, social media, and docket research
  • Prepare and serve subpoenas and authorizations
  • Request and track medical, employment, and insurance records
  • Summarize medical records into clear chronologies
  • Schedule depositions and issue related subpoenas
  • Retain and coordinate with expert witnesses and prepare expert packages
