Paralegal - Personal Injury

The Barnes Firm is one of the nation's leading personal injury law firms with offices throughout the United States. We are seeking a full-time paralegal with a minimum of 3 years of Plaintiff Personal Injury experience, or other injury related practice areas.

This position will assist the attorney in all aspects of preparation for personal injury litigation from case inception through closing. This position is responsible for the coordination of all correspondence, research, scheduling, and client communications necessary for each case.

Responsibilities:

• Candidate will provide support to dedicated attorney through all phases of cases from intake to trial with additional team support;
• Assist attorney with daily tasks such as drafting documents, filing documents, organizing files, client communications, scheduling, etc.
• Responsible for S&C, BP and its packages, Responses, Demands, RJI, motions, 3101(d), trial preparation.
• Assist attorney to settle claims, draft pleadings and litigation activities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of Plaintiff Personal Injury experience, or other injury related practice areas.
• Litigation experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, Spanish speaking is a preferred.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and manage a heavy workload.
• Extremely detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
• Excellent computer skills.
• High degree of professionalism.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to manage calendar for the following- EU0, 50H, EBT, IME, DME
• Knowledge of Efile – NYSCEF/ECourts/PACER required.
• Familiarity with Judge/Court Rules

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 - $44.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.50 – 40 per week
