Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of various areas of law, including but not limited to estate planning, family law, and litigation. This role will involve supporting attorneys in case preparation, conducting legal research, managing documents, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing case files and documentation.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
  • Draft legal documents including contracts, pleadings, motions, and correspondence with attention to detail.
  • Manage case files through document management systems and ensure proper filing of all legal documents.
  • Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases.
  • Maintain an organized system for tracking deadlines and court dates to ensure timely submissions.
  • Provide executive administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling communications.
  • Review documents for accuracy and completeness; perform proofreading and transcription as needed.
  • Collaborate with attorneys on various legal matters including environmental law, immigration law, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, landlord-tenant law, UCC law, securities law, and project management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a law office environment.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures; familiarity with litigation processes is essential.
  • Proficiency in using legal software such as PCLaw and iManage; experience with document management systems is preferred.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to analyze complex information effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Professional demeanor with effective phone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
  • A degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus. This position offers an exciting opportunity for growth within the legal field while contributing to meaningful work that impacts clients' lives.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
