Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal / Legal Case Manager to support our attorneys across multiple practice areas, with a strong preference for candidates who have prior paralegal experience, especially in personal injury, experience as a caseworker or social worker, and/or hands-on experience with probate and estate matters.

This role is ideal for someone who combines technical legal knowledge with a client-centered approach, particularly those with backgrounds in personal injury case management, social work, or client advocacy who are comfortable guiding clients through complex and often sensitive legal processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage case files from intake through resolution, with a focus on probate, estate administration, and dependency and neglect matters
  • Assist in preparing and filing probate documents, estate inventories, court filings, and related pleadings
  • Draft legal documents including contracts, motions, correspondence, and estate planning materials
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and support throughout their case
  • Coordinate timelines, deadlines, and court filings to ensure compliance
  • Assist attorneys with business transactions, litigation support, and client meetings
  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings
  • Organize and maintain accurate and up-to-date case records

Required / Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior paralegal experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in probate, estate administration, or estate planning highly preferred
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal experience
  • Background in social work, case management, human services, or client advocacy is a strong plus
  • Experience working in a law firm, court system, or legal aid environment preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive client matters with professionalism and empathy
