St. Louis Children's Hospital is looking for an experienced Paramedic to experience a rewarding and life-changing career!

  • Day shift
  • 7am start time (12-hour shifts)
  • 6 week shifts cycles

  • Scheduling Requirements
    • Two Mondays and Two Fridays
    • Four weekend shifts ( Saturday and or Sunday)
    • One on-call shift every 6 weeks (3pm-8pm)
    • Three 12-hour Holiday shifts per year

***$5,000 Sign on Bonus***

Role Purpose

The Paramedic - Transport is responsible for all aspects of emergency medical services and non-emergency care in the pre-hospital, transport environment. This position works under on-line and off-line medical control, providing all levels of care.


Responsibilities

  • Responds to emergency and non-emergency patient care needs; communicates with the emergency department upon arrival.
  • Provides quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care.
  • Documents initial and updated assessments on all patients.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience

  • No Experience

Supervisor Experience

  • No Experience

Licenses & Certifications

  • Class D (IL) or Class E (MO)
  • Paramedic

Preferred Requirements

Experience

  • 2-5 years

The work that I do as an ER, nurse contributes to the overall mission statement for BJC by providing patient advocacy, every patient that walks into BJC facility, we are there to advocate for the patient from the time they enter to the time that they are discharged. Second clinical excellence. Our goal is to provide excellent care for every patient that walks into a BJC facility. Third employee satisfaction. We, that is our goal to make sure that our employees are satisfied as well as our patients. So those three elements, clinical excellence, patient advocacy and employee satisfaction helps to contribute to the overall mission of BJC.
